# Twitter Accounts

In the following section, you can find a list of popular accounts on "Crypto Twitter". I've organized this list into several sections:

* **Favorites**: My 50 favorite accounts
* **DeFi**: Accounts that focus on DeFi
* **NFTs**: Accounts that focus on NFTs
* **Metaverse**: Accounts that focus on the Metaverse
* **DAOs**: Accounts that focus on DAOs
* **Web3**: Accounts that focus on the general Web3 landscape
* **Developers:** Accounts of prominent Web3 developers (or those with a focus on engineering)
* **Investors**: Accounts of prominent and thoughtful Web3 investors (or those with a focus on investing)
* **News & Research**: Accounts of journalists and researchers (or those that focus on news and research)
* **Consolidated**: A much longer, 200+ person list of popular Crypto Twitter accounts

**A word of warning:**

Twitter can be an excellent resource to stay on top of developing trends and get unique insights from outside of mainstream news sources.

That said, many of the top accounts on crypto twitter have been known to "shill" projects in return for compensation. While I've endeavored to remove several accounts suspected of this, things change and it's impossible to know who's on the level.

Furthermore, even the best accounts are frequently wrong.

As such, I recommend that you always **view everything through a skeptical lens and** **do your own research**.

Ideally, you should use Twitter as tool to: 1) identify new areas to research, 2) provide a "spark" to help gel your thoughts and 3) challenge your assumptions. You should never take anything anyone says, including me, at face value and instead form your own opinions.
